Location

The entrance to the apartment is at the side of the house up the stone stairs. There is room for you to park one vehicle.

Motion sensor lights at the front of the house, and at the side, light up automatically as you approach at night.

The side entrance is lit by over head lights at night when you approach.

The side entrance is the white door at the top of the stairs and the apartment door is the one on the right.

We provide sheets and blankets for the bed. You change the bed and wash the sheets and blankets as you see fit.

The ceiling of the apartment is sound proofed with 8" of roxal insulation which provides excellent sound proofing.
The two windows have been enlarged to let in more light, create a better view and allow for emergency exit.

The engineered hardwood on the floating subfloor is comfortable winter or summer.

Dishes, silverware and all the appliances, pots and pans you would need are provided.
A microwave oven, toaster oven, toaster and coffee machine (not in this picture) are included.

The counter has an induction stove top plus a wide assortment of electric cooking appliances are provided.

The private washroom is located next to the kitchen. You are responsible for cleaning the bathroom.

The cabinet below the sink and wall cabinet above the toilet provide storage space.

The door to the right opens into the furnace room. Every three months we change the furnace filter.
The furnace has a UV light which disinfects the air passing through the furnace.
This prevents germs / viruses (covid) from moving between the upper unit and the apartment.

We provide towels and face clothes. You provide toilet paper, soap etc

The main clothes storage area in the apartment is next to the kitchen area.

The eating area includes a table and three chairs.

Free hi-speed wifi is included.

The apartment electrical panel is behind the small white door on the wall. If you trip a breaker you can reset it yourself.
The apartment includes a thermostat next to the power panel so you can set the room temperature higher if you need to.

The apartment has two exits. (Plus two large egress windows)
The door to the right, near the table, allows you to exit through the front door of the house.
The door to the left, beside the bed, allows you to exit by the side entrance that was already mentioned.

This is the view from the window closest to the bed. This is one of the two large egress windows.

The 55" Sony Bravia 4K TV is mounted on the wall above the table. Free Netflix and free to air TV channels are included.

The laundry room area is shared however we have another set so we would seldom share this set with you.
We provide laundry detergent for the washer and bounce sheets for the dryer.

This laundry room has a front loading washer and dryer. You can use the sink at the counter.

This is the view of the backyard and the NCC green space through the laundry room window.
You can use the backyard space if you want to.

Coming and going from the apartment is always through the side entrance.
The storage rack and coat rack for for your use.

The walkway at the side entrance is lit at night. We clear away the snow in the winter time.

The walkway will be cleared during the winter months.

You can relax on a lawn chair in the backyard if you want to.

The NCC bike path is easy to access from the backyard of the house.

You can take the bike path West toward the Iris St Transit Station, Algonquin College, College Square etc.

You can take the bike path East toward Carleton University or beyond that to downtown Ottawa.

This location is fairly quiet.

One parking spot is included. The driveway fits three cars side by side and is kept clear in the winter.

Travel East on Cline Crescent to get to Maitland Avenue and Carleton or Ottawa U.

Travel West on Cline Crescent to get to Woodroffe Avenue. (Algonquin College is a 22 minute walk)
